Renovated & Reimagined In 2017, the Hotel Mark Twain underwent a full transformation and was reintroduced as the Tilden Hotel, named in honor of renowned California sculptor Douglas Tilden. His celebrated works include Admission Day, Mechanic’s Monument, and The Ball Player in Golden Gate Park.
