Distinguishing Between Change in Demand and Quantity Demanded

Change in demand’ refers to shifts in the entire demand curve due to factors other than price, such as income or tastes. ‘Change in quantity demanded’ refers to movements along the demand curve due to price changes. Graphical representations help illustrate extensions (increase in demand due to price drop) and contractions (decrease in demand due to price rise) .
