Having the same issue with Vortex 1.14.8 on a relatively new PC with Windows 11 Pro (24H2) installed with all the latest important Windows updates. Here is the sequence of events: I get the Check Failed message (exactly the same as above). I click on “Fix”. Vortex starts downloading the Desktop Runtime somewhere on my PC.
